Dmitri Dogaev is an experienced trade finance professional. Dmitri spent over ten years in the commodity finance departments of BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA, Geneva, and BCV, Lausanne, where he was managing a portfolio of clients disposing over US$1 billion in credit lines. Dmitri was also in charge of hedging, position management, documentary credit department coordination, treasury management, stock/inventory control and compliance.
Having left BNP, Dmitri started his own trade advisory boutique and assisted multiple companies in Ukraine, Georgia and other Eastern European countries to structure their business and obtain trade finance from banks and private funds. He also sits on boards of multiple commodity trading companies (including state-owned) trading in fertilisers, crude oil, petroleum products, metals and agricultural commodities.
Dmitri Dogaev managed and structured credit line facilities ranging from $50mio up to $2 billion for various Swiss based and international traders. Trade finance solutions devised by Dmitri included back-to-back basic deals and also pre-financing in various countries (such as Turkmenistan, Georgia and Kuwait, to name a few).
Dmitri’s supply chain financing solutions started with the production at the plant with the consequent logistics by rail, truck and seaborne vessels, and covered production at origin and transit all the way to the end user.
Dmitri is a graduate of EPFL (Lausanne) and the Lausanne University. He is a Swiss national and speaks English, French, Russian and German (intermediate).
